April’s interest in massage began when she suffered a low back and pinched sciatica injury. Following a suggestion from a friend, she started getting regular trigger point massage and acupuncture therapy. Fifteen years later she is still pain free from that injury.

In 2001, she became a licensed massage therapist and co-owner of a rehab center in Vancouver, Washington. At the clinic, April worked with people who had suffered auto accident, workplace and sports injuries. She moved to Portland in 2005 and soon thereafter joined the practitioners at Equinox Acupuncture & Massage.
